Building an Aircraft

Most people who visit the Wut2 websites are part of an adventurous bunch. Many enjoy being around airplanes or jumping out if them, or taking in a good Airshow, and then you have the own who want to tackle the most demanding of weekend projects, building their own plane.  As if it wasn't enough to want to fly, but to try and create a machine that will allow us to do it, take a completely different creature.

Planes are commonly constructed using the following airframe materials:

    • Tube and fabric

    • All metal

    • Wood

    • Composite

At the Wut2 headquarters in Naples Fl. we currently have a Seawind amphibious airplane under construction and a Glasair sitting in the wings waiting it's turn. Both of these aircraft are composite construction, meaning they are made out of fiberglass and or graphite and Kevlar.
