This is Good Old Fashioned Pumpkin Pie
Filler Ingredients:
4 cups of pumpkin puree or about 1/4 of an 8 lb pumpkin
3 eggs, slightly beaten - use more if you want it real firm
1/2 cup white sugar more or less to taste
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves |

You will also need 2 of your favorite crusts in slightly greased
pie pans
If you are using fresh pumpkin then cut it into 1/4 wedges and cook
this in the microwave for about 8 minutes until soft. Scrape it out to
make puree.
With mixer or blender or a strong arm, mix the filer ingredients. Spoon into prepared pie crusts and bake at 350 for approximately 40
minutes or until a flat tooth pick inserted into the center come out
clean. Turn off the oven and crack open door. But do not remove from the
oven immediately as the center may drop. Wait 20 minutes.
Makes two pies. Serve either warm from the oven or cold and top with
Vanilla Ice cream or whipped topping or for something really special use
our Caramel Rum Sauce
