Grout Museum District, Waterloo, IA 
Guthrie County Historical Village, Panora, IA
The Historical Village, which promotes Guthrie County and Iowa history, is located on a beautiful 4.5-acre complex just south of Panora's Main Square and two blocks from Lenon Mill Park. Started in 1968, the Historical Village has grown to 10 buildings, including the original Panora Depot, and a Milwaukee Railroad Caboose. [1204:01.15.04]
Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum, Arnolds Park, IA
Dedicated to the collection, preservation and presentation of the nautical history of Lake Okoboji, the Iowa Great Lakes and midwestern lakes in general. 
Iowa State University Museums, Ames, IA
Consists of Iowa State's Brunnier Art Museum and Gallery (decorative), the Farm House Museums (historic), and Art in State Buildings (campus/public art). The Brunnier exhibits temporary exhibits and items from permanent collection, the Farm House is a historical site with antique items, AiBS features art done for buildings on campus (sculptures, murals, etc.). All are free of charge.

James & Meryl Hearst Center for the Arts, Cedar Falls, IA
A municipal arts center presenting visual, literary and performing arts events. Opened in May of 1989, exploring connections between the arts and focussing on regional art and artists. 


National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, Cedar Rapids, IA
The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library collects, preserves and shares the history and culture of the Czech and Slovak people. 
Pella Historical Village, Pella, IA
The 21 building museum complex creates a scene from old Holland and celebrates Dutch heritage with Tulip Time, flower gardens and seasonal festivals. 
Slayton Farms Round Barn, Iowa Falls, IA
surviving example of "true Iowa" round barn technology. The round barn was a dairy and horse barn for a large "turn of the century 1900". Barn is located at southwest corner of Iowa Falls, IA, which is close to I-35 and US 20 in noth central Iowa. Univ. of IA Hospitals & Clinics Medical Museum, Iowa City, IA
The UIHC Medical Museum presents changing exhibitions on contemporary health topics which incorporate an historical perspective. The museum collections include approximately 4,000 artifacts, 1,000 books, and 1,000 photographs and documents. 
University of Iowa Museum of Art, Iowa City, IA
See selections from the more than 9000 works of art in the Permanent Collection including paintings, sculpture, prints, photographs, textiles, ceramics, silver and jade from cultures around the world, ancient and contemporary, plus special exhibitions and programs throughout the year.
